  • Greenville is among the five best places in the country to live "the simple life," according to the current issue of AARP magazine. The magazine cites the city’s low cost of living, short commute times, sunny weather, proximity to mountains and family-friendly fun, among other amenities.

  • The Government Finance Officers Association recently announced recipients of its 2007 Distinguished Budget Presentation Award and the 2007 Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting Program.
