The Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Institute is approved for certification credit by IIMC and APT.
 

Certified Municipal Clerk

The  International Institute for Municipal Clerks awards the CMC designation to individuals who spend at least 50 percent of their time on clerk-related duties. 
Requirements
  • Sixty education points (graduating from MCTI and completing the capstone project satisfies the 60 education point requirement)
  • Fifty experience points
  • IIMC member for two years
  

Certified Public Finance Administrator

The Association of Public Treasurers of the United States and Canada awards the CPFA credential to individuals who spend a majority of their time on finance, treasury, investments or debt activities. 
Requirements
  • Combined total of 100 points required in both the educational and experience categories (Graduating from MCTI can satisfy up to 30 educational points)
  • APT member for two years
