Cultural Affairs Intern, Town of Hilton Head Island

Position Category: Community/Economic Development

Position hours: Full-time, temporary position, after hours (evenings and weekends)

Job duties:

  • Attends events and businesses on the island to distribute promotional material; promotes the efforts of the office of cultural affairs to the community; works as docent at local gallery nights; hands out promotional materials at festivals or performances; and staffs a table at events to encourage mailing list sign-ups
  • Assists in writing copy and gathering images and videos for web development project
  • Assists in social media marketing by creating content and developing schedule


  • Must be enrolled in an arts-related bachelor's or master's degree program or a recent graduate
  • The ability to interact effectively with the public using both verbal and written communication skills
  • Graphic design experience is required

Pay info: $12 – $14/hr
