City Clerk, City of Georgetown

Position Category: Administration

Job duties:

  • Prepares and assembles agendas for city council meetings, hearings and workshops; works closely with department heads on agenda items preparation; and works under the direction of the city administrator
  • Publishes agendas electronically to the city's website and distributes agendas electronically to the city council, department heads, residents requesting notification and media outlets
  • Attends all city council meetings, hearings and workshops; transcribes and maintains minutes of city council meetings, hearings and workshops; and publishes approved minutes electronically to the city's website

Qualifications: Associate degree in secretarial science is preferred; two years of additional study in a job-related field supplemented by a minimum of five to six years of experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

Pay info: $43,237.15 – $60,532.82 annually
