Recreation Coordinator, City of Hanahan

Position Category: Parks/Recreation

Position hours: Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work

Job duties:

  • Accounts for program development principles and practices for recreational and leisure programs, services and activities
  • Coordinates all aspects of recreation programming, recreation areas, facilities, services, and  volunteer training and recruitment
  • Assists with preparation of preliminary budgets and adjusts items for conformance to anticipated needs. Prepares monthly activity reports, and plans for future activities and departmental needs.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in parks and recreation, sports management or closely related field

Pay info: $28,280 – $38,178 annually, plus or minus depending on qualifications, and includes a full benefits package with retirement, disability, 100 percent of employee health/dental paid by the city and employer-shared dependent coverage
