Training Coordinator/Fire Inspector, City of Lake City

Position Category: Fire

Position hours: Full-time position, Monday through Friday with some weekend and evening work required

Job duties:

  • Completes required documentation, schedules, conducts and coordinates all fire department training sessions
  • Assists with fire and life safety inspections and completes reports and maintains records of fire inspections
  • Assists in the implementation of required standards and guidelines, and other duties as required by the chief


  • Requires high school diploma or equivalent and a valid S.C. Class E driver's license
  • Certified Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, S.C. Firefighter I Certification, current CPR First Aid certification and Medical First Responder certification; and may be required to obtain other technical certifications as deemed necessary
  • Must be physically able to perform all firefighter duties and be able to obtain Fire Marshal certification

Pay info: $28,000 - $38,000 annually depending on qualifications and experience
